Open Opportunity: Humanities Futures Labs Graduate Fellowship

The Mellon Environmental Stewardship, Place, and Community Initiative (MESPAC) is seeking interested graduate students to participate in a cohort of faculty and graduate students designing curriculum. With three to four faculty, the four to six Graduate Fellows will design a humanities course focused on Indigenous epistemologies and environmental stewardship and will mentor undergraduate students who enroll in the subsequent course(s).

TRUTH Project: Towards Recognition and University-Tribal Healing

Since its establishment in 2020, Minnesota Transform, the $5M higher education initiative funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, has undertaken a variety of projects that support decolonial and racial justice across Minnesota, the Twin Cities, and the University. One of these is the the Towards Recognition and University-Tribal Healing (TRUTH) Project.

I am so thrilled to join the Minnesota Transform team as project manager. I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Urban Studies and a Master’s in Heritage Studies and Public History (HSPH). I bring to the initiative a background in public history focused racial justice projects adjacent to the University.
