As a follow up to Diane Wilson’s IAS Thursdays event “Telling True Stories: The Seed Keeper,” please join the IAS for an informal discussion on Wilson’s newly released novel, The Seed Keeper.

The Seed Keeper, Wilson’s debut novel, follows Rosalie Iron Wing as she reconnects with her history, her identity, and her community. Told through the voices of four Dakota women from 1862–2002, the story traces their experiences and traumas, while also following the story of seeds as they have been protected and shared through generations. Wilson explains that the book is her way of asking and responding to the question, “how do we fall back in love with the earth?”

The Seed Keeper is available for purchase through your favorite independent bookstore—we recommend Birchbark Books. You can also purchase directly from the publisher, Milkweed Editions. Prefer to order online? Try Bookshop.org.
