IAS Top corners

IAS Thursdays: Join us on Thursday afternoons for our eclectic, wide-ranging discussion series designed for scholars from all walks of life.

IAS Thursdays brings ideas, conversations, and viewpoints from a huge range of national and international scholars to the heart of the University. The programming series is always free and open to the general public, and is geared toward presenting ideas that researchers are passionate about to a wide audience. Please take a look at our upcoming calendar to find the talks you're most interested in--or to discover something completely new!

Please visit our Events page to learn about upcoming presentations, and our Multimedia Library to browse our archive of past events.

Parking and Transportation

Public parking is available in the Church Street Garage and the Fourth Street Ramp; reciprocal parking is available in the Fourth Street Ramp for people who hold West Bank or St. Paul campus keycard parking contracts.

The Twin Cities campus is served by many public transportation options. The Green Line train stops at the East Bank Station, a short walk from Northrop, and Metro Transit bus routes 2, 3, and 6 provide service to the campus.

Seminars and Archives

Each year, an Honors Seminar is organized around our presentations and introduces new members of the University community to fresh areas of research.

You can now look for events in the Multimedia Library section of our website to catch up on any talks that you’ve missed. If you can't find a specific speaker's presentation but know they gave one with us, please contact us via email.
