Job Opening: Visiting Scholar of Indigenous Studies

The Institute for Advanced Study invites applications for a two-year appointment for an early-career scholar as part of the Environmental Stewardship, Place, and Community Initiative funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

The IAS welcomes applications from those whose research agendas demonstrate a commitment to Indigenous Studies, environmental stewardship, and community engagement in ways that align with and complement the broad themes of the Initiative. For this position, scholars will be encouraged and supported in pursuing their own research objectives while also connecting that work to the support and intellectual development of the larger cohort of the Initiative.

This is a full-time, 12-month position and is funded for two years. The salary is $60,000 with a comprehensive benefits package. Negotiable start date between January 1 and August 15, 2021.
