Beginning in 2006, the Institute for Advanced Study and the Office for the Vice President for Research began funding collaborative interdisciplinary research projects associated with the University Symposium.  Since then, nearly twenty-nine awards have supported a broad array of initiatives launched from nearly every School and College within the University and from over thirty different academic departments.

Time

The Institute for Advanced Study and the Office for the Vice President for Research funded fifteen collaborative interdisciplinary research projects on the topic of Time, the subject of the University Symposium for the two-year period beginning in the fall of 2006.

Body & Knowing

The Institute for Advanced Study and the Office for the Vice President for Research funded nine collaborative interdisciplinary research projects on the topic of Body & Knowing, the subject of the University Symposium for the two-year period beginning in the fall of 2008.

Abundance & Scarcity

The Institute for Advanced Study and the Office for the Vice President for Research funded five collaborative interdisciplinary research projects on the topic of Abundance and Scarcity, the subject of the University Symposium beginning in the fall of 2011.
