Either specify the interdisciplinary nature of your project, or discuss how residency at the IAS would be particularly beneficial for your work.

•  If your project has a connection to to one of the Institute's research/creative collaboratives or to the theme of the University Symposium on Abundance & Scarcity, please describe the connection.  If your work is related to one of the Quadrant project groups, please indicate that.  There is no requirement that faculty fellows be affiliated with a collaborative, the symposium, or a Quadrant group, but if you see such connections, we want to know about them.

Curriculum Vitae

•  Submit your full vita.

Other Documentation

If your project includes visual media or similar materials, you may upload up to three additional files of material such as digital images.

Do not include letters of support.

Approver Routing

The following Approval are required to ensure that appropriate administrators are aware of the proposal and approve of the release from teaching for a semester:

• Division or Department Head/Chair.
• Dean or Chancellor. List of Dean/Chancellor approvers.

It is strongly recommended that you check with your respective departmental division/college/school offices to confirm the identity of your approvers, and to check their availability for approvals by the departmental deadline of October 27 and college/school deadline of November 4. Applications will NOT automatically route to an alternate approver.

Routing to Approvers

You will not be able to edit your application after routing it to approvers!
• Enter internet ID (x500 only) for each approver (click on enter button), then click "Submit to Approvers" button at the bottom of the online application form when you are ready to route to approvers. Verify that application will be routed to correct approvers.
• Each approver will receive an email with a link to your application notifying them that the application is ready for his or her approval.
• Approvals are done sequentially. When your Chair/Head approves the application, it routes automatically to the Dean/Chancellor. When the Dean/Chancellor approves it, it will route to the IAS. If your application is denied by either approver, it will route no further.
• As each approval is completed, you will receive an email message notifying you that your application has been approved or not and, if approved, has been routed for further consideration.
