For complete lists of faculty fellows see http://www.ias.umn.edu/fellows.php; for collaboratives, see http://www.ias.umn.edu/collaboratives.php; for board members, see http://www.ias.umn.edu/advisoryboard.php. Applications must be submitted via email. Please note these directions, which have changed. If possible, submit all of the above as a SINGLE attached PDF. If the department prefers to submit the letters of support separately (so that the applicant does not have access to them), combine all letters into a single PDF and include the applicant's name in the document name. The remaining application materials should also be combined into a single PDF. Application materials must be submitted to ias@umn.edu by midnight Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Please include “Interdisciplinary Doctoral Fellowship” in the subject line.

The IAS will make its review and notify applicants of decisions by January 27. The IAS will supply a completed PDF application, including the letter of support from IAS Director Ann Waltner, to successful applicants in advance of the Graduate School's February 1 deadline.

In addition to the selection criteria listed by the Graduate School at http://www.grad.umn.edu/fellowships/Instructions/IDF.html, the IAS review committee will consider how the student will benefit from residence in the IAS's interdisciplinary intellectual community and how the IAS will benefit from the student's residence.
