Interdisciplinary Doctoral Fellows
The Institute for Advanced Study is pleased to be one of the sites for the Graduate School's Interdisciplinary Doctoral Fellowships, which are located in the University's interdisciplinary research centers and institutes. Interdisciplinary graduate fellows at the IAS are full members of the intellectual community of the IAS. They are given an office with computer in the Nolte Center, participate in weekly lunches with residential faculty fellows and visiting fellows, and make an informal presentation of their work in progress to other IAS fellows once each semester. Graduate fellows are expected to be in residence at the Nolte Center for their year of fellowship and to participate actively in IAS programs.
In 2008-09 the IAS has three Interdisciplinary Doctoral Fellows.
Nominations for 2009-10 fellowships were due on March 27, 2009 and the IAS has three more Interdisciplinary Doctoral Fellows in 2009-2010.
More information on the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Fellows program is available at http://www.grad.umn.edu/oii/Funding/fellowships.html.
