Grant application workshop:
The Work of the Humanities in a Changing Climate

Wednesday, September 7, 2016, 3-4pm
101 Walter Library

Join us for a workshop to learn about the “The Work of the Humanities in a Changing Climate,” a Mellon-funded research initiative from the Humanities Without Walls Consortium that offers up to $100,000 for collaborative projects that examine forms of contemporary “climate change,” broadly understood, in a variety of humanistic fields of inquiry. The program also supports two graduate stipends.

This information session, offered jointly by IAS and the CLA Office of Research and Graduate Study, will present the requirements of this unique request for proposals, review application procedures and guidelines, discuss the mission and vision of the program and its work so far, consider strategies for securing cross-institutional collaborators from other members of the Humanities Without Walls consortium, and allow researchers the opportunity to connect with other UMN faculty who may be doing related work. IAS and CLA proposal development staff will also review the services they offer to assist faculty in crafting and submitting grant applications. The deadline for applying to this program is October 31. Please contact with questions about this information session.
