Cindy García is an Assistant Professor, dance theorist, ethnographer, and playwright in the Department of Theatre Arts and Dance at the University of Minnesota. Her book Salsa Crossings: Dancing Latinidad in Los Angeles (Duke University Press 2013) addresses the politics of social performances of Mexican-ness, latinidad, and migration in Los Angeles salsa clubs.
