Rhoda R. Gilman is a cage-rattler, a founding member of Women Historians of the Midwest, and a former Green Party candidate for Minnesota’s lieutenant governor. Her latest book, Stand Up! The Story of Minnesota’s Protest Tradition (Minnesota Historical Society Press), covers 150 years of the state’s protest tradition. She is also the author of Henry Hastings Sibley: Divided Heart and The Story of Minnesota’s Past.
