Andy Sturdevant is an artist and an arts administrator whose day job is with Springboard for the Arts. One of his projects is Salon Saloon, which brings together artists and other lively people in regular conversations. He describes one of his interests as the psychogeography of the built environment. In this interview, he talks about how the local context of Minneapolis shapes his art practice. Sturdevant and Peter Shea also explore the thorny issue of the economics of being an artist.
