Cherif Keita, November 2012
Cherif Keita teaches in the Department of French and Francophone Studies at Carleton College. In this interview, he talks about growing up in Mali and about his experiences as an intelletual whose life is lived in both Minnesota and various sites in Africa. He talks about the surprising connections he has discovered between Northfield, Minnesota and South Africa, dating back to the 19th century. The interview also talks about the work done by his father to further education in Mali.
