Karl Rogers is a co-founder and director of the John Dewey Center for Democracy and Education; Professor of Philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires; Visiting Lecturer in Discourse Analysis and Critical Theory at the Universidad de Belgrano, Buenos Aires; and a Research Fellow of the Centre of Science Studies at the University of Bath. He is also the author of Debunking Glenn Beck: How to Save America from Media Pundits and Propagandists (2011); Participatory Democracy, Science & Technology (2008); Modern Science & the Capriciousness of Nature (2006); and On the Metaphysics of Experimental Physics (2005).

Karl Rogers and Jerry Timian are working together with University of Minnesota Professor Harvey Sarles (Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature) to develop the John Dewey Center for the Study of Democracy in Education. Inspired by the philosophy of John Dewey, the aim of this Center is to provide a pluralistic framework for exploring and encouraging public thinking, consciousness, and debate concerning democracy and education.
