Amy Kaminsky is a Professor in the departments of Spanish and Portuguese and Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Minnesota. Her current project is “Planting Wheat and Reaping Doctors: Jews, Gender, and Modernity in Argentina.” She was a residential fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in the fall of 2011. Professor Kaminski is also active in the Film Studies program, the Center for Jewish Studies, and the Institute for Global Studies.

Among other works, Professor Kaminsky is the author of Argentina: Stories for a Nation (2008), After Exile: Writing the Latin American Diaspora (1999), Water Lilies/Flores del agua: An Anthology of Spanish Women Writers,1400-1900 (editor, 1996), and Reading the Body Politic: Feminist Criticism and Latin American Women Writers (1993).
