Taner Akcam discusses his new book, A Shameful Act: The Armenian Genocide and the Question of Turkish Responsibility (2006), with Eric Weitz. Taner Akcam was a Visiting Associate Professor in the Department of History during 2006-07 and is currently associate professor in the Department of History and Robert Aram and Marianne Kaloosdian and Stephen and Marion Mugar Chair in Armenian Genocide Studies at Clark University’s Strassler Family Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies.
Eric Weitz is Chair of the Department of History and holder of the Arsham and Charlotte Ohanessian Chair at the University of Minnesota and, among other works, author of A Century of Genocide: Utopias of Race and Nation (2003). Cosponsored by the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies and the Ohanessian Chair in the College of Liberal Arts.
